MOVE Adapted Fitness & Rehabilitaiton Society of BC has been in operation for over 10 years in Victoria. Neuromotion has been a proud supporter of this non-profit organization for over 5 years and is proud to be MOVE's neighbouring clinic in the same building. Through their specialized adapted fitness centre, MOVE provides adults and children with physical disabilities a safe and encouraging place to move their bodies, reach their mobility goals, and improve their quality of life. MOVE works with people of all abilities, including but not limited to: spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, brain injury, paralysis caused by stroke, heart attack, and more.
Unfortunately, due to unforeseen financial hardships compounded by the loss of MOVE's charitable status, MOVE Adapted Fitness will be closing its doors in its current form on July 31, 2024. However, we are pleased to announce that Neuromotion Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation will continue operations starting August 1st, 2024, under the name MOVE Adapted Fitness @ Neuromotion. Neuromotion’s vision of supporting individuals impacted by neurological conditions by a specialized multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, aligns well with MOVE.

Due to the financial events prior to Neuromotion taking over operations, MOVE declared bankruptcy. To help with the costs of buying back the equipment for the members we have started a GoFundMe. Unfortunately, Neuromotion is not able to purchase this equipment on their own. Since MOVE’s inability to pay Neuromotion their rent (current rent payable of close to $30k) it has limited Neuromotion’s cash flow. If the GoFundMe is not able to raise the funds to purchase the equipment, it will be sold to other buyers and Neuromotion will not be able to continue operating the gym.
