Born and raised in Victoria, Melissa grew up leading an active lifestyle, developing a keen interest in learning about the body and studying movement. After attending the University of Victoria, she worked as a kinesiologist at Neuromotion Victoria and MOVE Adapted Fitness and Rehabilitation Society of BC. In 2015, Melissa moved to Scotland and completed her Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy at Queen Margaret University in Edinburgh, and is now back at Neuromotion working as a physiotherapist. Melissa is a certified Neuro-Developmental Treatment (NDT) therapist and Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR!) Instructor. She has also taken further education in the assessment and management of children with cerebral palsy. She is drawn to the compassionate nature of the clinic and is committed to empowering each client to reach their goals. When Melissa isn’t working she enjoys being outdoors hiking, running and cycling.
