Registered Physiotherapist

Advanced Vestibular Rehabilitation
Functional Gait Specialist (L1)
Rebecca grew up in Whitehorse, Yukon, and has spent most of her life enjoying the outdoors.
She graduated with a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy from University of Dublin in 2022, as well as a Bachelor of Athletic and Exercise Therapy from Camosun College in Victoria, BC in 2019. She is a registered Physiotherapist, a Certified Athletic Therapist, a Certified Personal Trainer, and a First Responder with the Canadian Red Cross.
Rebecca began to develop a passion for neurologic rehab after completing a clinical placement  at An Saol Foundation in Ireland where she was a part of a pilot project to demonstrate the benefits of early and intensive mental and physical therapies to those with severe acquired brain injuries. Rebecca also conducted research during her time in Ireland and co-wrote the article “A Scoping Review of Patient and Public Involvement (PPI) in Empirical Stroke Research” which can be found in the International Journal of Stroke.
Throughout her career, Rebecca has been fortunate to work alongside the lead physiotherapist for Hockey Canada’s National Para Hockey team and gained experience with concussion and injury rehab. Rebecca worked with the Canadian Armed Forces and various sports teams including the National Rugby team, Camosun Chargers Basketball and Volleyball and provided pitch side care for the National University 7’s Rugby Tournament. Upon completion of her education, Rebecca attended a Functional Gait Assessment course as well as an advanced Vestibular rehabilitation course. Rebecca works with all conditions, but is particularly passionate about gait biomechanics, concussion and vestibular rehabilitation.
Rebecca’s treatment philosophy is focused on using evidence based practice to create a treatment plan based on patient goals. She believes that patient education and graded loading of injured tissue are important components of the rehabilitation process.
Outside of work you will find Rebecca at the gym lifting weights, finding lakes to jump into, cycling and hiking.
