JULIA WIEBE
Registered Physiotherapist
B.Sc (Chemistry), MPT
Julia originally worked as a chemist for several years before realizing she sought a more fulfilling career, one that would allow her to create a more direct and meaningful impact on the world and for others. It was a friend that pointed her towards becoming a physiotherapist and then working as an instructor for the TIME program where Julia developed a keen interest in neurological rehabilitation. However, it wasn’t until a clinical placement at a rehab hospital, where Julia worked on the inpatient stroke unit, that she truly realized how passionate she was about neuro rehab.
Julia earned her physiotherapy degree at the University of Western Ontario but returned home to BC after graduation where she began her career working in the public sector. Julia has worked on the various the medical wards at Surrey Memorial Hospital, as well as in outpatient rehab at Langley Memorial and Peach Arch Hospital, working with those who are recovering from joint replacements. Collectively, these experiences have allowed her to have a better understanding of a client’s journey through the healthcare continuum and create a more holistic approach to therapy.
In her free time, Julia can be found either adventuring in the mountains, playing board games or experimenting in the kitchen.
