Lokomat® Gait Training > The Lokomat® is a driven gait orthosis that automates or assists walking movements on a treadmill.

Body Weight-supported Treadmill Training > Our harness and treadmill system can be used to provide a safe environment for stepping and gait without the fear of falling.

Standing Program > Support from a standing fram or tilt table can be used to splint the lower limbs and trunk to enable patients to adopt the upright posture of standing against gravity.

Muscle Activation - Electrical Stimulation

Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES) Bike Therapy > FES cycling uses co-ordinated electrical stimulation to create a cycling pattern.

MyndMove Therapy> Using an 8-channelled functional electrical stimulation (FES) device, MyndMove’s aim is to improve purposeful movement of a client’s arm and hand.

Needling Services

Intramuscular Stimulation (IMS) > Intramuscular stimulation (IMS) or Functional Dry Needling (FDN) involves inserting a tiny monofilament needle into a muscle in order to release shortened bands of muscles tissue and decrease trigger point activity.
Acupuncture > Acupuncture stimulates the release of endorphins – the body’s natural pain-relieving neurohormones – through the insertion of needles into specific anatomical points (acupuncture points) to encourage natural healing.

 

In the Community

Home Based Therapy > We provide home visits within our Vancouver, Victoria, and Surrey communities to clients who are unable to come to the clinic for assessment and treatment.

Hydrotherapy > Buoyant forces provides a deweighting effect for ease of weight-bearing and walking, and the water can also provide resistance to active movement in order to improve muscle strength and control. 

Out and About (Recreation Programs) > This Vancouver program provides the opportunity for individuals to try adapted and modified sports with the help of a Kinesiologist.
